Hans Löffler

Hans Löffler, Ruhla/Saxony, dated 1725.

Octagonal, swamped barrel are with nine-groove rifling in 15 mm caliber. Dovetail brass front and iron rear sight. Engraved band decoration on the breech with date "*I*7*2*5*" and brass-filled mark "HL", for Hans Löffler. On inner and outer sides nicely chiseled wheel lock with set trigger. Carved, typical walnut full stock with patch box, bone nose and iron furniture. The trigger guard is marked on the inner side "No. 28". Original wooden ramrod with bone tip and iron threaded tube. Length 107 cm.
