H.A. Parisis

Magnificent percussion target rifle, by H.A. Parisis in Aachen, circa 1840.

Heavy octagonal barrel of fine rose Damascus, and an eight groove rifled bore in 10 mm calibre. Dovetailed sights.

The quality designation "Damas Turc Fin" is inlaid on the chamber in gold, and the signature "H.A. Parisis Aachen" in silver.

The lock plate is finely engraved with rocaille.

The cock is cut in the shape of a full relief grotesque head. Double set trigger.

A walnut full stock beautifully carved with vine decoration, the butt is carved with the figure of a dragon in low relief.

Finely engraved iron furniture.
