Brass bead and notch sights, with an attractive niter blue finish on the barrel, light engraving on the muzzle, "VENABLES OXFORD" on the top flat and set of crossed sceptre proofs on the underside of the barrel and chamber.
7 1/2 inch overall length.
Engraved brass frame, with scrollwork on the top, sides and hammer, and a fish head design on top of the hammer. Chequered bag shaped grips, with a brass inscription plate on the rear.
With a brass reinforced hardwood case, showing a fancy brass inscription plate on top of the lid, J. Venables label inside the lid, and a green felt lined interior holding a brass powder flask/ bullet carrier, one cavity mould with cutter, screwdriver, cleaning rod and an Eley Brothers cap tin.
