Lefaucheux 1854

This is an early modell 1854 Lefaucheux.

Very nicely engraved and unusual in the way that the back of the breech is curved. Compare the pictures of the early models on the Lefaucheux page and discover they are flat!

Hi Alain

Another Lefaucheux for you:

And THIS is a rare one!

One it is a luxury, -not so uncommon

Two it is gold plated -well possibly unoriginal, but old

Three it is the early style- only about 2300 made

Four Its 3 digits – of course only 999 made

Five it is not only early style but very early style without lanyard ring resembling the original patent drawing- now we are talking! I know number 600+ was with lanyard ring so between 222 and 600. Probably 300.

Six it is 9mm!!! -Hard to get even counting all 1854 Lefaucheux ever made.

Seven: best of all its on its way to me !

Have a nice day.
