SKS Somonov

Cal 7,62x39 (the same of AK47)

Fixed magazine, 10 rounds.

A carbine born late in 1945; in despite of his reliability, simplicity and shooting accuracy it was put apart two year later, when the fantastic AK appeared, and used quite only for parades.

But, and it’s strange, production continued till 1955 (this one was made in 1953).

The cleaning kit is contained in a hole in the stock, closed by a spring operated butt trap.

The instruction manual is very accurate with many clear images.
